How to formulate with AnaGain™

Welcome back to our mini-series “how to formulate with”. Today we are talking about our hair active AnaGain™.

Unfortunately, hair loss is an issue that affects many men and women and that not only in old age. It also affects more and more younger people. But there is a solution called AnaGain™.

We offer AnaGain™ in three different versions.

  1. Standard AnaGain™ (INCI: Pisum Sativum (Pea) Sprout Extract (and) Phenoxyethanol (and) Sodium Benzoate (and) Aqua / Water), which is a liquid extract.
  2. The preservative-free AnaGain™ pf (INCI: Pisum Sativum (Pea) Sprout Extract (and) Alcohol (and) Aqua / Water), this is also a liquid extract, which is COSMOS approved.
  3. AnaGain™ pwd (Pisum Sativum (Pea) Sprout Extract (and) Isomalt (and) Aqua / Water), this is a powder, which is also COSMOS approved.

On what should you pay attention to when formulating with AnaGain™?

In general, AnaGain™ is a very simple extract, which makes it just fun to formulate with it and does not cause any problems.

All three version are water soluble and not oil soluble. So, they are not suitable for pure oil products, but you can use them to create a 2-phase serum. You can find a guide formulation for this below.

For cold processes, dissolve AnaGain™ into the aqueous phase. For hot/cold processes, add AnaGain™ during the cooling phase below 40 °C. Here we recommend predissolving the AnaGain™ pwd in little water and then adding into the emulsion.

You can find further helpful information in the formulation guidelines.
